The Kuwaiti dinar is the currency of Kuwait. The banknotes are printed on paper. The Central Bank of Kuwait (CBK) is responsible for issuing the Kuwaiti banknotes.
The Kuwaiti dinar is one of the highest valued currencies in the world, due to Kuwait’s oil rich economy. The dinar was pegged to the US dollar until 2006, and is now pegged to a basket of undisclosed currencies. Currently, Kuwait is on their sixth series of banknotes.
